About Jerry J. Zins, Jr.
As the founding principal of Summit Wealth Management Group, Jerry is credited with developing instrumental wealth management and asset preservation strategies. Over the decades, Summit Wealth Management Group has blossomed into a successful financial planning firm. Jerry’s loyal clients include everyday hardworking individuals, small business owners and families looking to expand and preserve their nest egg. Jerry tailors the nuances of retirement plan distribution strategies, investment planning and lifetime legacy planning to each individual client’s unique situation and aims.
Jerry’s formal qualifications include Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant , Chartered Life Underwriter and LPL Financial Registered Representative. He holds securities registrations through LPL Financial including FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65. Jerry’s professional services are comprehensive, largely because he has gone to the extent necessary to obtain the formal qualifications required to provide an extensive range of services. His licenses include California Life, Health and Annuity Insurance licenses (CA Insurance Lic. #0708854).
When Jerry isn’t working, he volunteers as a Board Member with the St. John’s Hospital Community Board, spends time with his family, plays the drums and enjoys travel adventures. Jerry has also served as a Board member of the Camarillo Healthcare District’s Finance Committee. His prior roles in the local community ranged from Chairman of the Padre Serra Church Finance Council to Chairman of the St. Mary Magdalen School Consultative Board.
Jerry lives in beautiful Camarillo with his wife Lisa. The couple’s son, Gregory, recently passed four CPA exams and now resides in Los Angeles. Jerry’s daughter, Michelle, is the proud owner of her own business franchise, Crumbl Cookies, located in Ventura County. Jennifer, the oldest of the daughters, lives in Chandler, Arizona, where she works as an attorney. Jerry’s daughter Christina joined the Summit Wealth team in autumn of 2020.
